Scenario — 1
Mr. X and Mr. Y, both are sitting in a room watching TV.
Mr. X wants to change the channel and the remote is there with Mr. Y.
Mr. X called Mr. Y on his mobile phone and asked for the remote.

Wait….
Q. Why can’t they talk directly when they are in the same room?
A. Because they are stupid.

Scenario — 2
Now Mr. X is a regular commuter and Mr. Y is a cab service provider in the same city.
Mr. X needs a cab and for that, he raises a booking request from his app, which goes to a server sitting in a different city/state/country/continent.
Mr. Y receives this request via this server and accepts the request.

Wait….
Q. Why does the request need to go to a miles away server, while both are in the same city, maybe a few blocks away?
A. Because they do not have any choice.

So when we say the internet is slow in remote areas, it means the remote area is far far away from the nearest data center.
For global services, it’s understandable, but it does not make any sense not to have a local data center for hyperlocal services.
No matter if we get 4G, 5G, or any latest G in remote areas unless there is a local micro data center(MDC) all these efforts are not enough.

Also, a lot of energy and resource use can be reduced.
